Akne & aknear

Akne & aknear

Acne occurs when sebaceous glands become blocked and bacteria develop. We treat both active breakouts and the scars acne can leave behind.

Hvad er akne?

Many different bacteria live on the skin. One of them is called Cutibacterium acnes. This bacterium feeds on dead skin cells, and especially on the sebum and oil your glands produce. If the bacterium gets into a clogged pore, it can develop into a proper spot.

With acne, the skin barrier is usually out of balance.

Spots, or acne, are caused by sebum and inflammation in the sebaceous glands and hair follicles. If the skin's surface is blocked by dead skin cells or a lack of elasticity, the sebum becomes clogged, and blackheads become inflamed and turn into sore, red spots. In severe cases, the spots can develop into actual cysts beneath the skin.

Symptoms

  • Tilstoppede porer
  • Red, inflamed spots
  • Fedtet hud
  • Ar efter udbrud
  • Unstable skin barrier

Causes

How we treat it

Recommended treatments
